Fresh breezes and 360-degree views await you aboard TOHORA
The addition of the 542 Nautitech S/Y TOHORA to Nicholson Yachts charter management has boosted the multihulls sector of the fleet. The yacht and crew will debut at the Newport Charter Yacht Show in Rhode Island June 18 – 21, 2018; from there TOHORA is available through fall in New England. Winter 2019 availability is in the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
TOHORA accommodates up to five guests in three air-conditioned cabins; two queens and one single, which also doubles as a floating office. Ensuite facilities in each cabin lend complete privacy. Crew of two have separate quarters and ensuite facilities.
Designed by Marc Lombard for cruising in comfort and luxury, TOHORA is a
fantastic platform for exploring uncharted territories while leaving minimal impact. Her shallow draft is ideal for exploring anchorages, contributing to a serene and private atmosphere aboard.
Equipped with eight solar panels and an extensive sail wardrobe, she can perform optimally in all wind conditions. Her set of four sails – main, solent, gennaker, and spinnaker — accommodates the aluminum mast and lightweight, V-shaped boom.
The aft cockpit is shielded from the sun yet airy and designed for the best in relaxing and dining; an electric sun-roof in the cockpit can add extra light when desired. Enter the main saloon and still feel like you’re on deck while enjoying a 360-degree view thanks to spacious windows and portholes.
Forward, soak up the sun while lounging on colorful, plush cushions in the trampoline. At anchor, snorkel and enjoy water toys right from the yacht, or just lounge in the hammock. Toys include beach tennis equipment, beach bocce, beach volleyball. Top speed of the yacht’s 4.2m Caribe dinghy is 25-30 mph, thanks to the Honda outboard. Refresh yourself after an outing with either one of the cat’s two transom showers.
The story of the yacht and skipper Umberto Isolabella Moneta are linked: after skippering an 82-foot Oyster for its owner, Moneta oversaw the build of Tohora for the same owner in France. Crew and yacht departed in January 2013 for a 20,000 mile journey from France to Australia via Panama and the Pacific. After the Pacific they relocated to the Caribbean and New England. Moneta has accumulated more than 40,000 miles on Tohora and has been at the helm for more than 5 years.
