Sail Captain-Only Aboard BALANCE
Now for some good news from the Bahamas: BALANCE, the Bristol-beautiful captain-only Oyster charter yacht in the Nicholson fleet, seeks back to back charters in the Exumas from 1 February 2020 to April 30 2020. Rates are offered for two guests and four guests.
The Exumas is south of the Abaco islands, the area that was leveled September 1, 2019, when Hurricane Dorian made landfall with maximum sustained winds of 185 mph. Dorian was the strongest recorded hurricane to affect the Bahamas.
While it’s important to pitch in and help those adversely affected by Dorian, keep in mind that islanders also rely on tourism dollars to sustain themselves. In the areas away from the those hardest hit, luxury yacht charter is a welcome source of income.
BALANCE offers one-way itineraries from Nassau to Georgetown and back. With a detailed provisioning list, Captain Roy Rogers, an Exumas expert, stocks the yacht. Itineraries thru the Exumas allows for dining ashore every 2nd night.
