Kingship Yachts Reveals Innovative Sub-24-Metre Yacht Concepts for Cannes Yachting Festival

Kingship Yachts Unveils Innovative Yacht Concepts

Hong Kong-based Kingship Yachts, in collaboration with Barracuda Yacht Design from Spain, has introduced two new yacht concepts that aim to redefine the sub-24-metre market. The Kingship 88 and the KingCat 90 are designed to offer the space and prestige typically associated with larger yachts, while maintaining a hull length under 24 metres. This strategic design choice allows owners to benefit from reduced construction costs and simplified regulatory requirements.

These new concepts will be showcased at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, marking Kingship Yachts’ debut at the European event. The designs reflect a commitment to innovation and efficiency, meeting the evolving needs of yacht owners seeking high performance and aesthetic appeal without the complexities of larger vessels.

Kingship 88 Flybridge

Kingship 88: Luxury Meets Efficiency in Design

The Kingship 88 is an all-aluminium displacement yacht featuring a beam of 24 metres and a total length overall (LOA) of 26.8 metres. It is engineered to provide approximately 60% of the volume of a 35-metre yacht. The design offers two flybridge options: an open version for warm climates and a closed version for increased protection in variable weather conditions.

Inside, the Kingship 88 accommodates up to eight guests in a four-cabin configuration, which can be adjusted to a five-cabin layout for ten guests. The main deck is designed for seamless movement between the foredeck lounge and aft deck, while integrating crew quarters with living spaces. With a 7.7-metre beam, a 1.85-metre draft, and an expected range of 3,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, the Kingship 88 is engineered for efficient and comfortable cruising.

KingCat 90

KingCat 90: Spacious Catamaran with Modern Features

The KingCat 90 is an aluminium catamaran with a LOA of 27.3 metres, an 11.4-metre beam, and 308GT of interior volume spread across four decks. This design offers expansive spaces and uninterrupted views through large windows, creating an open and airy environment. The upper deck features a walkaround design, connecting the bridge to the main living area, which includes a formal dining table for 12, a TV lounge, and a bar opening to an outdoor dining space.

Accommodation on the KingCat 90 is highlighted by a master suite with a private balcony, resembling a penthouse apartment. Four additional guest cabins are located on the main deck. The yacht’s exterior includes a two-part aft deck with a lifting platform for extended deck space and tender storage, as well as lounge seating on the foredeck and flybridge. With a draft of 1.6 metres and an expected range of 4,000 nautical miles at eight knots, the KingCat 90 is designed for long-range cruising with minimal crew requirements.

KingCat 90 Bow

Kingship Yachts’ latest concepts, the Kingship 88 and KingCat 90, demonstrate a forward-thinking approach to yacht design, offering the benefits of larger vessels within a more manageable size. These designs are set to make a significant impact at the Cannes Yachting Festival, highlighting Kingship’s dedication to innovation and excellence in yacht construction.
